The Spirit Boom Box from Califone is a lightweight and rugged audio player ideal for indoor or outdoor use in schools and other institutions. Constructed from rugged ABS plastic the Spirit features a CD player with a random play feature and an LCD display. An AM-FM tuner is provided for picking up radio signals and a cassette player-recorder allows you to play back pre-recorded tapes or record signals from the CD player or AM-FM tuner.

The boom box has 4 built-in speakers allowing it to reach every listener in a large classroom. It also has a standard stereo headphone jack for private listening. Multiple users can listen via headphones with the addition of a headphone jack box - sold separately.

The Spirit can be plugged into a wall using the permanently attached AC power cord. It can also operate via 8 C batteries ideal for mobile or outdoor use. The built-in carrying handle makes it easy to take the Spirit anywhere.
