The Justrite Sound Guard galvanized steel oily waste safety can has a foot-operated lid with a sound-muffling pad and can be used to temporarily store solvents, waste rags, or other combustible materials. The can is made of galvanized steel, which is resistant to rust, dents, and certain chemicals. The powder-coated finish resists scratches, chipping, fading, and other wear. The foot pedal can be pressed down to lift the lid up to 60 degrees for hands-free waste disposal and released to close the lid. A pad inside the lid muffles the closing sound, making the container suitable for places where a quiet environment is desired. The elevated bottom facilitates air circulation and helps prevent the transfer of heat in case of fire.
